With the casting of hen’s head transformed into vibrant coloured resin, she is dressed as the black fondant cake’s centrepiece. This sculpture is a juxtaposition of two consumables ( a fancy cake and a hen’s head) with awk contrasting consumer values. When the worthless hen’s head stands proudly as centrepiece on an elegant cake, would her head be priced differently? Applying the same analogy of modern women struggles, between roles and responsibilities shift, do we see the same social phenomenon of judging women?
這是以母鷄的頭部鑄模製作而成的樹脂膠雕塑作品。每個色彩斑斕的鷄頭裝飾,皆個別設計成爲黑色翻糖蛋糕中心上的主角點綴。在現今消費市場氛圍下,本為毫無價值的鷄頭並列昂貴的蛋糕,母鷄頭的變裝和新角色會否為她賦予不同的價值?同樣地,社會上一直被視爲理所當然的母親和家庭主婦角色依然長期被忽視其勞動價值,當女性被套上新職銜,是否就等於戴上王冠的皇后?
